The VPS Backend consists of data and contact centre’s to support the Technology in use by the Officers and Citizens.
VPS MODULAR DATA CENTRE
Our modular and containerized data centre provides the solution to sub-Saharan Africa’s’ unique environmental and logistic challenges and constraints. We use standardized critical infrastructure systems and pre-engineered containers to provide Primary and Secondary data centers that are easily transportable and more easily scalable than a traditional ‘bricks and mortar’ facilities.
VPS PERFORMANCE MONITORING CENTRE
Its purpose is to manage all the Devices in use by the officers. Running our Device Management Software, it enables us to secure and efficiently manage all aspects of our fixed and mobile device fleet.
VPS CONTACT CENTRE
A National centre whose purpose is to be the contact point for the citizen. Officers stationed here each handle a police division, liaising directly with the OCS to ensure citizen application; requests and assistance are handled promptly. Apart from being trained Police officers they will also receive training in customer management to effectively handle Citizen requests.
VPS SECURITY OPERATIONS CENTRE (SOC)
Houses the information security team responsible for monitoring and analyzing VPS’s security posture on an ongoing basis. Their goal is to detect, analyze, and respond to cyber security incidents using a combination of technology solutions and a strong set of processes.
